Revelstoke Mountain Resort sold 20 of of the first 25 single-family estate lots released for sale on Saturday.
A statement form the resort said they “were snapped up in a matter of hours, with buyers coming from across Canada, the U.S., and as far away as the U.K. “
“How often do you get a chance to buy in on the ground floor of a world-class resort?” resort developer Don Simpson asked in the statement. “The single family lots at Mackenzie Landing truly is a once-in-a-generation investment opportunity and sales results acknowledge this demand.” The 25 estate-size lots range in size from approximately 1/2 to 1-1/2 acres, and cost between $695,000 and $1.35 million. Several of the new estate lots include the right to develop a private helipad.
Sally Carmichael, director of sales and marketing for Sotheby’s International realty Canada said the sales show the resort has “huge international appeal.”
In little over two months, Revelstoke Mountain Resort will open for business with a $22 million, eight-person gondola and a high-speed quad chairlift. The mountain will ultimately see over 20 lifts and more than 100 runs.
